TRYP by Wyndham asked NM+U to help develop the branding for its Food and Beverage concept, an integrated lobby restaurant/bar designed to bring one of TRYP’s key brand attributes to life: its Mediterranean passion.

  • Naming: The Gastro Bar + a modifier specific to each location, in this case the New York property featured The Gastro Bar at 35th, alluding to its location on West 35th Street.
  • Brand Logo: Maintains a subtle visual connection to the parent brand while featuring its own unique visual elements.
  • Collateral Material: Focus on efficiency and low cost of reproduction to maximize adoption by franchisees worldwide.
  • Local Franchisee Support: Assist and guide the property with local marketing support.

Advertising Campaign: utilizing the first Gastro Bar opening at the TRYP NYC, NM+U developed a campaign that blended the Gastro Bar’s Mediterranean-inspired tapas concept with traditional New York favorites such as the beef sliders and the mac ‘n cheese. The end result is a campaign that is both scalable to all TRYP locations yet unique to each individual restaurant.
