Project Description

Background and Challenge: Larkin Community Hospital needed to raise awareness and generate patient inquiries for the new Miami Neuroscience Center at Larkin, a state of the art Gamma Knife program headed by one of the most experienced teams in the field.

  • The Larkin team boasts a track record of over 8,000 successful Gamma Knife procedures
  • Patients come to Larkin and are successfully treated despite having been told elsewhere that they had exhausted their treatment options
  • Gamma Knife surgery is used to treat tumors of the head, neck and brain, as well as other neurological conditions
  • Surgery is minimally invasive, patients recover quickly and with minimal discomfort

Our Approach: An emotional campaign featuring actual past patients giving testimonials about their remarkable survival stories after Gamma Knife surgery.

The campaign, conceptualized, produced and executed by Navigant Marketing, featured English and Spanish television, radio, print media, online advertising and mass transit media in the local market.

The campaign was supported by a comprehensive public relations effort headed by Effective Media Company of Atlanta.

Outcome: The TV campaign reached over 35% of the local market and – together with print and outdoor media support – significantly increased patient leads and admissions for the use of Gamma Knife Technology.
